children shows- cbbc and cbeebies

1. Give a summary of the type of content and overview for each channel and what it expects and how does it differ depending on that channel. *
For Comedy and Drama look at BBC 1-4 and for Children’s compare Cbeebies and Cbbc

CBBC- they are more aimed at older children before teenagers they have shows that the older children would most likely watch but they would have to watch it after school . they have different types of genres but they are mostly amid at a older audience which is why they have shows that are made for an older audience rather then those that would watch cbeebies. the people that watch CBBCwould watch shows like Wolfblood and The 4 0"Cloak Club

what they expect is CBBC to be talked about  and just for people to enjoy the shows and want people to carry on watching the channel

cbeebies - they are more aimed at little kids before teenagers but also the age before the age that you can watch big shows like that are violent it is showen before 12 the kids shows I mean not the vilolent also like the CBBC it has different genres as well but it is not educational for the little kids so this is aimed at a lot younger audience. the people that watch Cbeebies would watch like Teletubbies and Lazy Town

What they expect is again for people to watch the channel and talk about it

it differs by if you are a child over the age of 6 you would find that it is violent or something whilst if you are over the age of 6 and you watch cbeebies then you would find it babyish

2. Who are the Audience for each channel for your chosen genre? Give examples. *

For CBBC it is over 6 -12 to just before teenagers

For cbbebies it is 0-6

lord of the rings role of the writer

  • Making larger roles for the female characters s in the film?

Peter Jackson  wanted the audience to be interested in the film, so he gave the women more roles and so he add romance and making it apply to women, showing that they are stronger and having it apply to the modern audience,  and having it shown that times have changed , women are allowed to go on adventures just as men are allowed. Back in the day when the book was realised it was set it times when women had to stay at home and do nothing. the female characters names are Mrs Bracegirdle who's played by Lori dungy    ,  Rosie Cotton who's played by Sarah McLeod  and so on , there were lots of characters that were women that played a powerful part in the films

  • Taking out (omitting) certain characters in the film look at this site for help

the writers  took out a really important character to create suspense  and that character was Tom Bombadil and they took out quite a few impotent like Glorfindel.

  • Writing an exposition (what has happened before the film starts) scene for the beginning of the film
the film opens with a women telling a story of the ring and how they were formed , the rings were split 3 of the rings were given to 3 elves the fairest of the land, 5 were given to dwarfs and 9 rings were given to the race of men . you had to have the will power to try and not get taken over by the rings but they deceived but another ring was made in a lava mountain by an evil person born of darkness, the ring was known as the master ring . The ring has all the evil and the will of power put in to in with writing in it and nobody can read what it says , one by one it created war between the races to get the master ring, everyone was killing each other for power, the end was near. The ring can make anybody powerful land strong, the person who has the ring killed someone close to him but before that person died he chopped of the ring and the hand which the ring is on and the person who had the ring dies as well. The ring was taken by a good guy out for revenge , he takes the ring in the woods but gets attacked and killed and thrown in to the sea , the ring dropped on the sea never to be seen again until the modern day when  a creacher  called Golem found the ring and took it to a mountain were the ring possessed him , he then throw  the ring it went deep down but that's not what the ring wanted , it was then picked up by a man called Bilbo who was in the hobbit and time will come when it is someone else's  time to inherit the ring

  • Working with the actors as characters to create some parts of the script.

they spoke to the actors and try and get in to the character by being the character and how they would look, see, smell and live and they would get asked to research the character the try and cast that character by seeing who would be best for the role i.e. the dworth
they would write down there lines on a Pease of  tissue when they went out to eat and go over there lines
